Theo Havana Adult - Adoption, Rescue for sale in Saugatuck, Connecticut

Theo is a 3 year old neutered rabbit who was surrendered by his owner due to allergies. The owner stated that he has had Theo for the past 2 years. Theo has not spent time in the home around other animals or children, so it is unknown how he will react to them. He also stated that Theo will struggle to get away when being held, but he likes to be petted. Theo likes to rearrange his enclosure, and will chew on cords. He enjoys being brushed and he isn't bothered if he is put in a carrier. A volunteer writes: Theo is a spunky, fun-loving bun who loves to run around, binky in the air and zestily enjoy a good rabbit chew toy. Of course, Theo is also down to relax and enjoy some human affection, after he's had a nice run-around. Rabbits make wonderfully social family pets! However, be sure to familiarize yourself with their care and enrichment needs before adopting. Although relatively easy to care for once you know how, rabbits do require more attention than most people typically think. Rabbits may be able to live in pairs. When bonded, they will groom each other and snuggle together for companionship. Solo rabbits will need more human social time than pairs. Curious and social, rabbits do benefit from a lot of time out of their cage and can be litter box trained so they can roam freely in a safe environment. While rabbits vary a great deal in size, the average rabbit may weight approximately 5 pounds and can live 6-12 years with proper care.
